R.M.S. Titanic

As you know, I am writing a new book on the Titanic. The working title is “Titanic, The Journey Begins” (I may change the title for publication). The book is written in two parts the narrative and the appendix. I have chosen this format so you may read the narrative easily without clutter, then if you want to know more about something you have read in the narrative you can turn to the back of the book to read the primary source evidence it is based on.

Over the next several weeks, I will be posting some of the primary source evidence from the appendix.

This new book will change what you know about Titanic and the men and women who sailed her.

A shortlink will be published on this page for each new article revealing evidence from the book. Click on that link and it will take you to the article.

The first article, “Titanic’s Left Turn Only Myth” should be ready February 12, 2012. Some of the articles will also have an accompanying video clip demonstration.

Thank you.

  1. Very interesting, Joe; we visited Belfast yesterday where there is the most fantastic exhibition and museum about the Titanic – it was built in Belfast as you know and part of the exhibition featured the city, and the workers who built the ship, and their families. It tries to see the ship as a whole – not just the dreadful and tragic end of her.
Your blog is amazing – I’m looking forward to exploring more!

  2. the reason why i ask i am just ciriouse because i am only third teen and i heard that they were gonna build another titanic but i dont know.

    • Yes it is being built. It will look exactly like the first Titanic, but will have all the modern safety features. There should be more in the news about the ship towards the end of 2013.

  3. hi i am a number one fan of titanic and i was wondering is it true that you are making a titanic 2?
